I attend pregnancy, post-natal and active baby yoga with Alison. I was new to yoga and she created an environment that was calm, safe and reassuring. She is a font of knowledge when it comes to baby topics and is non-judgmental with her guidance. I am thrilled to have shared my baby journey with such a professional, fun and relaxing yoga teacher. We did so many different baby groups but we enjoyed our yoga sessions with Alison the best. The supportive environment, Alisons enthusiasm and knowledge, lovely friendly other new mums, soothing techniques for the babies and the yummy tea and homemade cakes afterwards make these classes very special indeed. I would certainly recommend to all new mums.
I attended pregnancy yoga when pregnant with my second child. Although i had experienced childbirth before, it was great to have Alison as a positive influence on any concerns regarding anything relating to pregnancy and childbirth. The class itself is taught in a very relaxed atmosphere and is beneficial to your well being and the relaxation exercises at the end of the class, followed by a cuppa, a chat and a nibble of cake was very well received! Alison’s yoga classes provide an excellent way of exercising whilst de- stressing at the same time. Each class is different which is great for staying motivated! Alison is a very capable teacher whose laid back approach makes the class fun and enjoyable.
Alison’s classes were recommended to me by a friend, and I have since recommended her classes to all of my pregnant friends! The great thing about Alison is that she’s a very grounded instructor. She makes you feel comfortable in yourself during and outside of class. She’s very pro natural birth but NOT anti medicine, which if I’m honest was a breath of fresh air. And, of course, the yoga she teaches is great too! I felt super fit the whole pregnancy through!

I recently completed the Breathe Easy 6 week course with Alison. It was my first attempt at yoga in a long time and I was particularly nervous about returning. Alison put the whole class at ease with her friendly and relaxed delivery. She encouraged every one of us to use the time to achieve the best we could without judging ourselves too harshly. This made the class much more enjoyable and I would not hesitate to recommend one of her classes.
I went to Alison’s monday night womb yoga class mostly on the strength of how much of a lovely person Alison is. I was apprehensive to begin with, because I have some self confidence issues, and being a large lady, I had a fear of ridicule. I’m so pleased to say that was not the case at all. I felt so comfortable, and relaxed. And if I wasn’t able to do some of the poses, I didn’t feel singled out, and Alison was quick to provide me with an alternative. Alison has been my yoga teacher for nearly four years, through post natal yoga, general classes, womb yoga, pregnancy and back to post natal again! She is a hugely calming, soothing, supportive presence, focusing on making it feel right for you, and not on it “being right”. She often tries to tailor her classes to the needs of those there on the day. I’ve always left her classes feeling better than when I arrived, and wholeheartedly recommend her as a really lovely yoga teacher.
